Twice a year I go to Nicaragua to visit my friends. And twice a year Betzy Barboza finds me the perfect place to stay. Sometimes my budget changes. No problem for Betzy. Sometimes I get to the place that I'm staying and discover the washing machine or TV isn't working. That's no problem for Betzy either. In fact, nothing is a problem for Betzy. I have never seen anyone (and I travel a lot) who can fix the situation so fast, and always with a smile. If I run out of drinking water at an odd time, I have a new one within an hour. And it's not only Betzy's fantastic service, she is also a wealth of information! Born and raised in San Juan del Sur and bilingual, there is no one there I would trust more than Betzy to help me find items at stores, mechanics, places to rent cars - not the people that just cater to foreigners for high prices, but real Nicaraguans who charge a fair price. Betzy is the real gem of San Juan del Sur and I give her a 50 out of 10 (yes!) because she is THAT GREAT. No one comes close. I know - I lived in San Juan del Sur for 14 years and watched Betzy grow up. She is THE BEST YOU CAN FIND either to rent your home or find a vacation rental to stay in. Don't go anywhere else! Betzy can do it all!

Renting a place with Sol & Playa was the best experience - which is definitely not a common thing to say from a rental business, trust me. The ease of service and accommodations they made far exceeded my expectations. Ended up selecting a place Betsy personally recommended and she nailed it! (Seriously, ask for Betsy if you can, she’s a gem!) To be fair though, I think we would have probably been happy with any of their units - they all looked equally gorgeous to ours. I’m excited to come back and work with Betsy and her team again. Vacay in San Juan Del Sur just wouldn’t be the same anymore without Sol & Playa.

Best choice in town! I used Betzy‘s Sol y Playa Vacation Rentals for many years for my home in SJDS. Although I had many agents, Betzy became my main person as she found the majority of my long-term rentals. She wrote contracts, helped with paying bills and the contact with utility companies, and interacted with my caretaker. She was also quick to answer any questions and would deal with any other issues that came up. Betzy speaks perfect English and is a very outgoing and pleasant person, which makes the communication easy. I would highly recommend Betzy in any areas of the rental business.

Betzy of Sol & Playa was amazing at making sure every trip I made to San Juan del Sur was spectacular. I stayed at many of her properties over nearly a dozen trips and every time was memorable and well managed. Sometimes things go wrong, but when that happened Betzy was there to fix/help/make right whatever was needed. She goes above and beyond expectations! Betzy and her Sol & Playa network of amazing hosts understand your needs and expectations. They exceeded ours! Our amazing host Sandra at Las Cascadas offered a perfect space from which to enjoy the beauty of San Juan del Sur and its surroundings. Great location walking distance to town and beach and close to a major road junction which provides access to all transportation and other destinations! We experienced amazing attention to detail and responsiveness to all requests for help and information!

Really loved our stay at Casa Palermo. Betzy was wonderful in making sure we had all of our questions answered. The home was clean and in great condition and we were surprised how much was included in the price! Would definitely recommend
